Story of Lord Shiva
Lord Shiva is possibly the most complicated Hindu creator and is one of the gods with the greatest power who was known by many names like Mahadeva, Mahayogi, Pashupati, Nataraja, Bhairava, Vishwanath, Bhava, Bhole Nath. The planet’s Moons, Suns, Stars, Planetary System, and entire Galaxies are just a tiny event- a tiny sprinkling. The remainder is vast emptiness or in the form of nothingness.
Who is Lord Shiva?
Based on Hindu Mythology, Shiva is the Supreme Being who is the creator and sustains and alters all things in the Universe. Lord Shiva is considered to be the third most significant of the Holy Trinity. Shiva is revered as being Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma.
The goddess is believed to be the source of energy and creativity (Shakti) of all individuals, along with maa Parvati Shiva, the same supportive partner. Shiva. Lord Shiva is the void as well as matter that is neither manufactured nor destroyed. He is however an example of five similar avatars in the Panchayatana puja in the Smarta tradition of Hinduism.

- Bhairava Avatar
When Lord Brahma along with Lord Vishnu engaged in a battle over who was superior, Lord Shiva assumed the form of Lord Shiva. When Lord Brahma offered a lie regarding his superiority, Shiva assumed the appearance of Bhairava as he cut Lord Brahma’s fifth head. - Nandi Avatar
The Lord Shiva’s mount Shiva has the name Nandi or the large bull. In several regions in India, the god Lord Shiva is revered in the form of Nandi. It is believed that the Nandi image is Lord Shiva’s avatar. Shiva is believed to be the protector of shepherds. It also serves as the vehicle of Lord Shiva. - Veerbhadra Avatar

The Lord Shiva Mantra can be interpreted in many different ways
- Panchakshari Shiva Mantra (AUM nmH shivaay)
This is the most popular Shiva mantra. The meaning of the mantra is – “I bow to Lord Shiva!” People who are devoted to this mantra repeat it 108 times in order to cleanse their souls and be blessed with the blessings of Lord Shiva. - Rudra Shiva Mantra (AUM nmo bhgvte rudraay)
The Shiva mantra is best utilized to please Lord Shiva and assists devotees remove the negative aspects from their lives and increase their confidence to progress with a balanced life. The devotees chant this Rudra mantra to seek assistance from Lord Shiva and get their desires satisfied. - Gayatri Shiva Mantra(AUM ttpurussaay vidmhe mhaadevaay dhiimhi tnno rudrH prcodyaat)

Shiva is a god of fire with three fiery lines strewn over his time as an introduction to the level. The lines refer to the destruction of the 3 universes in Hinduism. The thought is that lack of activity and energy is a sign of the merging between the universes that become one with self.
Goddess Parvati – The Mother of the Universe
Maa Parvati always is with God Shiva as his Shakti which means “Power”. She is known for providing knowledge and encouraging her followers to be in a relationship with their specific master. Shakti fashion is the concept to think of God as the Mother of all. Shakti is referred to as Mother because that’s the supreme aspect that she is seen as the one who sustains the universe. She is the one who keeps everything that is present.
Shiva Linga: The Symbol of Shiva
It is believed that in Sanskrit, Linga symbolize a “mark” or a symbol that suggests an inference. This is why it is believed that the Shiva Linga is an omen of Lord Shiva A symbol that speaks that of the Omnipotent Lord, who is unformless. This symbol represents Shiva, Shiv Linga proposes an idea to the Hindu devotees in the distinctive silent language.
It is the only visible representation of the unformless being known as Lord Shiva who is the eternal soul within your heart’s chambers. Lord Shiva can be described as your tenant and your most intimate self, or Atman and is undistinguishable from the eternal Brahman.
The Holiest Shiva Lingas of India
When we talk of every Lingas in India there are a few that have been identified as having the highest significance. The Temple of Lord Mahalinga in Tiruvidaimarudur which is also known as Madhyarjuna is considered to be the greatest Shiva Temple in South India. In India, there are 12 Jyotirlingas and five Pancha-bhuta Lingas that give a distinct smell to our Indian Culture.
